Synopsis:
I knew I should have stayed away from Rhett Johnson. Captivating, beautiful, talented not to mention a UFC prize fighter, and a man who knows what he wants and he wants ME.
Who am I? Scarlett Parker. A maid in a luxury Vegas hotel. I’m damaged, broken and running away from the darkness around me. I don’t believe in happily ever after. The attraction between us is like a drug, one we both dangerously need. Wounds break open as my past returns. Is this my happily ever after or is this a disaster waiting to happen?

My Review

This was a great enjoyable, emotional read.

When you read the blurb its sounds like this would be your typical maid falls for fighter story but is is so much more. Scarlett has had a rough past, she feel broken and that she is not worthy of anyone's love. Rhett is a British fighter who know what he wants the minute he see's Scarlett and he is prepared to fight to make her see that. Scarlett really fights her emotion's she finds to difficult to trust, will she ever let Rhett in?

I was pretty much drawn into this book from the beginning, I didn't want to put it down and wanted to keep reading to find out what happens.  I feel I had a love/hate relationship with Scarlett's character, I wanted her to let Rhett in but she kept pushing him away. I did grow to love her a the story developed as I thought she really grew as a character.  Rhett he was a great character and even without own demons he still tries to win Scarlett over. This was a beautifully written story and I could feel the emotions of the characters. I had tears in my eyes at the end and and other parts too. I loved Scarlett's relationship with her brother and her best friend and how they all supported Scarlett. The ending left me wanting me more and I really hope we do get more, there are still questions to be answered.

Overall this was a great emotional read.

* I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review- thank you!!
