Charlie Davenport is the bad boy of British tennis - and third in line to the throne. He’s a beast on the courts, and a wild animal in bed (according to all the tabloids). Girls are lining up for chance at his crown jewels, and when I stumble into the wrong Wimbledon dressing room and catch a glimpse of his game, set, AND match, I can see why.

So what’s a little good luck kiss between f̶r̶i̶e̶n̶d̶s̶ strangers?

I know better than to get involved with a bad boy like Charlie. But now he’s on a winning streak, he thinks I’m his lucky charm - and you know what’s luckier than a kiss?

Everything.

Suddenly, I've got paparazzi on my trail, exes coming out of the woodwork — and you don’t know ‘cutthroat’ until you’ve seen a pack of hungry socialites set loose near the Royal Family.

I’m in way over my head, and even worse - I’m falling in love.  Can this American girl win her Prince Charming? Or will we both crash out of the championships in flames?

Wimbledon-meets-The Prince and Me in this hilarious, sexy new romance from Katie McCoy!

My Review

I really enjoyed this book by Katie McCoy.

The story centres around Emmy and Charlie. Emmy has come over to England to work for the summer a Wimbledon where she literally bumps into Charlie- an up and coming tennis star who also happens to be a prince. I was quickly hooked into this story and I loved both Emmy and Charlie's characters. They had great chemistry together  and they had great banter too. I think i read this book a with a big smile on my face, I loved every aspect of it, I didn't want to put it down and wanted to keep reading. Katie McCoy is quickly becoming a go to author for me.

10 cities in two weeks. 10 famous rock stars. On my knees. Against the wall. On my tits. I don't care. As long as I get the evidence to prove it. Why? Because I caught my former prick of a boyfriend from Heavy Metal Enthusiasts doing a groupie doggie style backstage on the night we were supposed to be celebrating our 1 year anniversary.

He told me I was too uptight. Too vanilla. Too boring. So I got drunk with my bestie, Marsha West, the aspiring videographer. I ranted. I raved. I came up with a crazy idea. What I didn't know was that my best friend recorded me. Marsha put the video up on YouTube. It went viral with 10 million hits. Now I've got fans and sponsors offering me big bucks.

Rock stars are volunteering to be my f*ck buddy.
Hollywood is calling.
I get to choose which rock stars I want.
The stakes are high.
This sh*t just got real.
What could go wrong?

My Review

I'm a little torn about reviewing this one. There were elements I enjoyed of this one and other bits that didn't work for me. I loved Lucky's character but I really couldn't take to the female lead I really didn't like some of her actions she took and wanted to reach into my kindle and slap her a times- which could also be the sign of a well written book too. I believe some of the characters in this one have featured in other books so maybe if I had read this too it might have added to it.

Excerpt:
We both sit frozen, my stare locking onto her lips. They look unimaginably soft, but it’s her eyes that continue to mesmerize me. Like she can peer inside, like she notices what I keep locked deep within, that she can— Rrrrrrrrr! Jolting from the loud vibration of her cell phone on the lacquered bar top, Presley jerks away. She grabs her phone like it’s a lifeline as the screen lights up with the name Dylan, signifying an incoming text message. She scans the message, and I can’t help but notice it’s a generic text saying good night and he’d talk to her the following day. And a part of me feels a little…jealous. Shit. Seriously, man. Get it together. You shouldn’t be getting close to another guy’s woman. But I’m not getting close. I’m having a fun conversation with a woman who happens to also be my doctor. A woman who’s helped me tremendously in such a short period. A woman who is incredibly smart and beautiful. A woman who doesn’t cringe in horror when she looks at me—who doesn’t appear to register the presence of my scars. A woman who’s a trivia nerd like me. Damn if that last one doesn’t give me some warm fucking fuzzies. I may have been with more than my allotted share of women who had an ass ton of space between the ears, but make no mistake…nothing turns me on more than a woman who’s smart as a whip. And yeah, I got a semi during Jeopardy, hearing her softly spoken answers each time Alex read a clue. I’m a sicko, I know. But shit, she’s got beauty, brains, and not to mention, she’s incredibly kind. This Dylan guy had better realize how good he has it. She reaches for her purse, reacting a split second too late to me slipping money to Ryan to pay our tabs. “Wait! You can’t—” I cut her off with a look of faux sternness. “You didn’t have to humor me and watch the game with me.” A college football game that consisted of two small schools, no less, but it served as an excuse to get out of the house for a bit. While I hate having to hide behind my ball cap, it doesn’t mean I want to become a damn recluse. “Or share a meal with me.” “It was my pleasure. But at least let me take care of the tip.” Opening her wallet, she tries to produce her share. Before she can pluck any bills from it, I lay my hand over hers. She doesn’t immediately look up to meet my eyes; instead, she appears transfixed by the sight of our hands together, and at the contrast in coloring, my darker, tanned skin to her fairer skin. It’s then my mind veers off like the old Hendy. To the fucking gutter. Because I imagine linking my fingers through hers while I fuck her against the wall, counter, bed—wherever—all the while whispering in her ear the other naughty things I plan to do to her. Except she’s taken. I need to remember that. And I sure as shit am not delusional enough to think anyone could love someone who looks the way I do. Least of all, someone as beautiful and sweet as Presley Cole. Mentally shaking off my thoughts and removing my hand from hers, I wink. “Consider it my treat,” I add softly, “for putting up with me these past few weeks.” What I get in return is an overly bright smile laced with a tinge of panic. She has such an unnerving way of seeing through me that I hope she didn’t see through to my inappropriate thoughts from seconds ago. “It’s been a pleasure, Hendy.” Slipping off the barstool, I wait for her to grab her purse. Presley and I wave at Ryan, thanking him again as we exit and step out into the typical Florida still-humid-as-hell-even-though-it’s-evening weather. “Where are you parked?” It’s dark, and although Fernandina Beach, especially the downtown area, is much like Mayberry where the worst crime that occurs is shoplifting a pack of chewing gum, I need to see her safely to her car. Lord knows I gave my mother more than her share of gray hairs as a hell-raiser back in the day, but there’s no denying she raised me to be a gentleman. “Just over there.” Presley gestures to the small parking lot nearby, a mere four yards away from where we stand. She pauses on the sidewalk, appearing nervous, and her eyes flit to me before darting away. “Thanks again for tonight.” I watch as she regains her composure, returning to doctor mode before meeting my gaze. “I’ll see you for your adjustment tomorrow.” Then she turns to step off the sidewalk, intent on crossing the street. Without me. Running a hand down my face with a silent groan, I quickly cross the street, following her. Approaching where she’s standing at her car, I call out her name as her vehicle’s lights flash twice when she unlocks it with her key fob. “Presley.” Drawing to a stop a foot away from her, I get this strange tightness in my chest at the fact she’s leaving me to head home. Stupid as hell, but there’s no denying it. There’s just something about her. But she belongs to—is engaged to marry—someone else. Knock it off, man. Yet when she peers up at me with those eyes—one blue and one green—I could get lost in their depths. Reaching for the door handle, I offer a smile and open the car door for her. “Get in. I want to make sure you leave here safe and sound.” At my words, I see something flicker in her eyes. And I know, at this moment, if she says anything remotely sweet to me right now, there’s a good chance it’ll send me crossing that line. And I can’t have that. I’ve got a reverse case of Florence Nightingale syndrome. That’s got to be it. Which is why I add my next words. “Gotta get you home safe so you can see your man.” Fuck. It leaves a nasty taste in my mouth to utter that shit. Reminds me of getting the damn desert sand in my mouth when we were out in the middle of nowhere on a mission. That shit makes you want to spit, clean out your damn mouth, and rid yourself of that grittiness. Her expression is shuttered, smile stiff, and her voice subdued. “Thanks again.” Closing the door after she’s safely inside and buckled up, I offer a quick nod, tugging the brim of my ball cap lower as I turn to make my way to my truck, which is parked along the curb near the bar. I don’t look back—no quick glance—because the disappointment that the night has to end makes me feel bad enough. But of all people, I should know best that all good things must come to an end.

Having a different woman every single night is the way I’ve always done things.
It works and it’s fun, so why change it?
The thought of having a monogamous relationship hadn’t even crossed my mind... until her... the infuriatingly seductive, witty, Goddess from across the pond who now lives down the hall from me.
She teases me with her perfectly shaped peach for an ass and her British accent. She makes me want more, all the while making me feel like I’ll never get it.
The only way I can get her off my mind and out of my system is to get her into my bed.
The bet I have planned may not be one of my brightest ideas, but I’m going to chuck my doubts in the fuck it bucket and win this thing!
She’s not going to know what hit her.

Excerpt:
I slide into the driver's seat of my new BMW not replying to him as I lock all the doors, signaling to him that I can’t hear him. I rev the engine and he backs away letting me peel out of there, not looking back. I sigh dramatically, that was close!
How was I supposed to know she was married? I feel sorry for the guy, but maybe it’s best he found out now rather than later. I cringe at the situation and then find myself laughing at how my day has already started off, always eventful in the life of Mac.
It’s only seven in the morning so I have time to grab a quick shower before I have to head out to make it in time for work. My best friend, Connor, owns a construction company and I work with him as a contractor and his accountant. I know, right? Beauty, brawn, and brains. I’m a triple threat.
I make the drive back to my apartment building and park outside, looking down at myself still wearing nothing but my boxers and socks. I laugh out loud and open the car door, taking a quick look around. Apart from the odd car driving past, it looks quiet enough, so I jog to the building and open the door with my key. Just as I think I’ve gotten away without getting charged for indecent exposure, a soft, British voice calls out, “Wait! Hold the door, please!”
I sigh trying to decide if being an asshole trumps the embarrassment of being caught in my underwear, but I’m a confident guy, I don’t care. Making my decision, my hand catches the door just before it’s about to shut and my eyes widen as I nearly get trampled on by someone carrying a hell of a lot of books as I open it back up.
“Thanks,” she says hurriedly.
I can’t quite see her face and I don’t think she can see me either, so I think I’ve lucked out on her seeing that I’m not wearing any clothes. I shrug my shoulders, her loss. “You’re welcome,” my low voice rumbles out.
I don’t need to see her face to tell that she’s beautiful. She has her long blond hair scooped up into a messy bun that all the girls seem to do nowadays and she’s wearing short running shorts that encase her toned legs that go on for days with a black tank top that shows off her shapely waist. And damn that accent, why haven’t I noticed her here before?
I press the button to call the elevator and stand back, twisting my head to the side to admire her peachy ass.
“Stop checking me out, Neanderthal,” she quips, giving me a sarcastic smile over her shoulder, letting me see her side profile for the first time. Beautiful.
“Hey, you should be flattered I was checking out your ass. It looks like you work hard for that peach.”
She scoffs. “Do any of those lines actually work on women? Or do you just keep pulling out the same one-liners in the hopes that one day someone will be stupid enough to fall for your bullshit?”
She’s floored me and I don’t know what to say, so I stand here gawping at her.
“Yeah, thought so.” She snorts, turning back around when the elevator pings open.
She walks inside, but I don’t follow her.
“Nice boxers, by the way,” she says with a satisfied smirk on her face, a sparkle in her caramel-colored eyes. Then the doors close.
Shit. I think I’ve just met my match.

My Review

Another great book from Danielle.

This book has great humour and made me laugh to myself many times. It's a fun read that had me hooked from the beginning to end. Mac and Billie are great characters. They start of as friends but you get see their friendship grow and the trust between them develop. The pranks they did were brilliant- I'm going to have to remember some of them to use!! If you are looking for a fun romance read over the bank holiday weekend, then this is the book for you. I really enjoyed it and look forward to future books from Danielle.

Author Bio:
Danielle has always dreamt about writing a book. With many stories to tell, she finally pulled her finger out one morning when one story screamed at her louder than the rest. When Danielle’s not writing, she can be found painting people’s faces with makeup or watching twenty minute cat videos late at night, procrastination
is strong in this one. If you’re ever short for shoes to match your outfit, she’s the person to go to. With an extensive shoe collection that cost more than your mortgage (although she would insist she doesn’t have a problem), you can take your pick. An avid reader all her life, she gets lost in the magic a book immerses you in and hopes to capture that for her readers.

My Review

I really enjoyed this sweet forbidden romance read.

Melanie has had a rough start in left and can't wait to leave for college, however she fall's into some trouble and is forced to take a drugs education class where she comes face to face with a familiar face- Jake- the man from her recent past who is older then her and also a cop!!

I really liked both the characters in the this story- although Melanie frustrated me that she didn't stand up for herself at times. Jake was also great and I liked how he generally wanted to help Melanie even as their feeling's grew for each other. There is also some angst thrown to keep you hooked and routing for them both. It is well written and I wanted to keep reading throughout. This is also the first book I have read by this author so I will be checking out her other books.

Overall a great romance read that I really enjoyed reading.

My Review

This was another great read from Kristen Hope-Mazzola.

It was a heart wrenching read that had me in tears at many points but it was beautifully told and I was hooked from the beginning once again. Griffin had an accident 10 years ago and needed a heart transplant, 10 years later he connects with the daughter who's father's heart beats in his chest. I loved the connection between Griffin and Olive, both are strong characters on their own but they also fit so well together. It was great to see other characters from previous books too, however this can easily be read as a standalone if you haven't read them. This book has lots emotion- yes it made me cry and yes it made me smile and that's always a sign of a good book.

Overall a great read that I really enjoyed reading.
