My Review

This was a great story with a great modern day take on the classic Beauty and the Beast story.

The story is about Maggie and Benjamin. Maggie is lead researcher at Benjamin's company. One evening when they are both working late, Maggie stands up to Benjamin's mother who is demanding that he marry in order to save the company. However some how Maggie and Benjamin end up in an fake engagement after her job is put on the line along with Benjamin's company. Maggie agrees to keep up the pretense but after a near really bad first date she begins to get to see another part of Benjamin that he keeps hidden. Can they both keep up the lie or will real feeling get mixed up?

I enjoyed this story, as always with Diane's books it well written. It took me a while to connect to Benjamin's character but i think that was because he kept his emotion hidden and was very cold towards Maggie. However there was great banter between the two of them  I did feel the conversation between the two of them was very samey for the first 40% because they were trying to establish what there relationship was- was it real or fake or Friends or loves. For me the last 40% was great there was lots of drama and twists and turn and I was really please with the outcome.

Overall a great heartfelt romance.
